The Birth of Belli Capelli Beauty
Some businesses begin with a market opportunity.
Belli Capelli Beauty began with a question.
Why was an industry built around helping people feel confident, beautiful, and empowered leaving so many people behind?
For more than 20 years, beauty was my career, my passion, and my identity. As a licensed cosmetologist, I dedicated my life to helping people see the beauty in themselves. I never imagined that one day I would become one of the millions of people struggling to access the very products and services I had spent my life providing.
Everything changed after a catastrophic car accident.
The accident claimed my father's life and left me fighting for my own. I spent weeks in a coma and endured multiple surgeries, extensive rehabilitation, and life-altering injuries. A complication from surgery left me partially blind, forcing me to navigate the world, and the beauty industry, in a completely different way.
As I adapted to my new reality, I began noticing barriers I had never seen before.
Beauty packaging that was difficult to open. Products that required strength, dexterity, or vision many people simply don't have. Salon experiences that unintentionally excluded people with disabilities, mobility challenges, chronic illnesses, or age-related limitations.
The more I looked, the more I realized this wasn't a small problem.
Millions of people were being overlooked.
Not because they didn't want beauty. Not because they didn't value self-care. But because the industry had never been designed with them in mind.
That realization became the foundation for Belli Capelli Beauty.
Belli Capelli Beauty was created to challenge the idea that accessibility is an afterthought. We believe accessibility should be a standard. We believe beauty products should work for people, not the other way around. We believe everyone deserves to participate in beauty with independence, dignity, and confidence.
Today, Belli Capelli Beauty is more than a company.
It is a movement dedicated to making adaptive beauty the norm, not the exception.
Through education, accessibility consulting, professional training, and the development of the Adaptive Beauty Design System (ABDS), we are working to help brands, salons, retailers, and beauty professionals create experiences that welcome everyone.
Our vision is simple:
A future where accessibility is no longer a niche consideration.
A future where inclusion is the standard.
A future where beauty truly belongs to everyone.
This is only the beginning.
Welcome to Belli Capelli Beauty.
